Coldplay and I

God, I love this band....my absolute "by far" favorite group on the planet, and I finally got to see them live. Mike and I arrived at the Cruzan Amphitheater just in time for Coldplay to start, but before they came on...I bought myself a hat, and a certain special someone a surprise.

They sounded insanely amazing, completely flawless, just like you were listening to their CD...only louder and with much more emotion. I believe Chris Martins voice is something everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.

The whole band came out into the crowd, and then they headed up into the lawn to play a few songs...which is where I took those B&W photos below. At the end of the show they told us we were getting a free CD from them on our way out....called "Left, Right, Left, Right Left". It's an album of live versions of their greatest hit songs. and as it should be...I love it.

Of course I snuck a camera into the show, and I also had my Blackberry, so I got a ton of pictures and some decent video. The first pic here is of my friends/co-workers at the Sundy House (Adrienne, Addam, Liz, Laura's Sister and Laura) and the rest are of Coldplay.

Thanks Dave & Anna for the great tickets! The seats couldn't have been more perfect unless they were front row of course. Thanks Liz for the free CD, that I forgot to grab on the way out because apparently, I was in too much of a hurry to beat the crowds leaving. And last but not least, thank you Mike for going with me, I know how much you LOVED the show too. I will without a doubt see these guys again, and again....next time though, I do want front row :-)

Here We Go!

Hello everyone, I know it's been awhile. I have been talking to some people who have told me that I have not posted here since January. So I thought I would throw some pictures up that I've been promising some others for a long time now...lol. This post is for you Molissa (and Marrisa - I've missed you too)!!!

For those of you who do not know these cool ass people...they are my co-workers at the Sundy House, and were taken last December at our Christmas party. I had a blast there, but I was still kinda new and didn't know very many folks...

Anyways, it's good to be back online blogging away...and saying hello to some good friends that I've met through this site. The camera is out, I am back......and to top it ALL off, I recently fell head over heels for someone very special :-) I'll fill you all in soon......

Peace and Chicken Grease!

Happy 2009!

Happy 2009 to all! I for one am glad 08' is long gone, and a fresh new year is gracing our presence. The last year was a tad rough around the edges and I'd call myself "not a fan".

It has been awhile since my last post (like last year) and some folks have been pushing me to put up some of my new photos. This new year is definitely treating me uber well, and I'm are loving every second of it!!! It feels like I am on a super long vacation...and I bake tons of yummies to support the holiday we call South Florida.

I truly hope everyone has a healthy and prosperous 2009 and I'll post again here soon.

O' Tannenbaum

Our Christmas Tree (Tannenbaum) is now officially up! This has to be, without a doubt my favorite time of year. With all the beautiful lights, the magical music, and all of the festive cheer everywhere you turn. I can never get enough, and it is always seems to be over way too soon.

My roomie/good friend Kruppdogg and I put the tree up and decorated it yesterday. However, we do still need a star to top the tree off perfectly, as well as a nice, cute tree skirt.

Krupp's puppy "Lucky" was even there to watch and help us out a little...lol. I took an amazing photo of him too. He is a gorgeous Chocolate Labrador and he was sitting in such a sweet little stance, I just had to snap some pics off. Lucky really is a great dog (although I am not the biggest dog fan), he listens very well and is über chill.

I hope everyone likes our tree, and yours is up also. If not, then may it be up soon. Try listening to Christmas music while decorating, it puts you in a festive atmosphere...and makes everything much more fun!

Pastry Chef Anthony

Pastry Chef Anthony here at your service!

Hello all, I've posted a few pictures of some of my creations here at the Sundy House. I love what I do so very much, and the opportunities on what I can create are pretty much endless. My personal creative input is just as important as any cook or Grand Performer who is employed with us.

The first picture displayed here, I believe, is an engagement ring...on a plate with one of my "Warm Chocolate Cake" desserts. A server was asked by a gentleman to have this ring placed on the dessert plate by the Pastry Chef and too make it look beautiful. I was a bit nervous...(should I have the ring box closed on the plate...or open on the plate!?!) Finally I went with open, displaying the ring, because the ring should be the focal point on the plate....then, she can eat my gorgeous dessert. This was the coolest request I've gotten so far, but we get odd/special requests all of the time. I L.O.V.E. it all!!!

(The sever did come back and let me know that she absoultly loved how the plate looked)

The second photo, is of Sundy House's fresh homemade ice cream dessert. On this particular plate, it is Maple Walnut ice cream...and made today by yours truly (meeeee!) Our homemade ice cream is served in a sugar tuile boat, fresh berries sprinkled all over, with raspberry coulis & cream anglais dots on either end.

I hope you liked some of my creations, and please stay tuned as there are definitely more to come here in the near future. I'm constantly on google or in the Delray Beach Free Library, looking up more amazing dessert recipes to bring into the Sundy House.

Getting Old

Boy oh' boy am I getting old. I just turned 34 about a week ago, and I'm trying not to think about it too much. We did not have the traditional birthday cake for this 'unwanted' day....instead, it was warm, gooey brownies with a scoop of delicious vanilla ice cream! One of my all time favorite desserts.

Here are a few pictures from my birthday 'day' and birthday 'night'.

God I Love The Aussies!

WOW, I had no idea how much fun YouTube can be...to sit, browses through all kinds of cra-zazy stuff, and just watch...lol.

Okay.....so the night started out with me looking up some videos on the issue of Gay Marriage (there were quite a few of them), then off on the side bar, I found this video on a Shirley Phelps-Roper. The very next thing I know, I found myself on a marathon watching all kinds of vids on the Westboro Baptist Church Sickos, spewing nothing but pure hatred for just about everyone. For some very odd reason, I could not get enough of it!

I know we have "all" heard this before, but it was totally like watching a massively insane <-- (being the operative word) train wreck...I just could not stop.

Which brings me to explain just why I love the Aussies so very much right now. Among the many, many comical tricks played on this abomination of a family called the Phelps, this particular video was by far my all time favorite!!!

I do hope you enjoy it as much as I did...

Happy Birthday Mom

It was my Mom's Birthday on October 22nd!

Happy Birthday Mom!

If you haven't noticed, I changed the header on this blog site and made it more tropical for my new residence and ultimately...new business location. Let me know what you think.

I'll be back.

My New Toy

This week I went out and bought myself a brand spanking new lens. A Canon 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 EF III Zoom Lens....and "it is" a beautiful new tool I just added to my collection.

Here are a few photographs I took with the lens late this afternoon shortly after it arrived. One of my faves is the first photo of the birdhouse with the killer green backdrop, and also the one of my next door neighbors Fallen Santa. It is now September and it's been hanging down like that since Christmas of last year. Lets hope good ole' Saint Nick gets a little attention this winter, and gets propped back up on the chimney.

People Watcher

I am a people watcher. I love to just sit back and scope out the scene...with, my camera in hand of course. This weekend we took a trip to Church Street in Downtown Burlington and took some pics of some things that I thought were interesting.

If you have never been to Vermont, and perhaps planning a trip up or over this way. I strongly recommend taking a nice stroll down Church Street in Downtown Burlington. The shopping is out of this world, with a little bit of everything for everyone. The food is to die for, with my personal favorite Sushi Bar, Sakura Japanese Restaurant. Entertainment every where you go, artists on the street doing work, musicians playing their songs...making a living, mimes, and magicians galore. You're right on the lake, with a nice lake museum, and park....the views are just about breathtaking.

It is gorgeous in the winter season, but way more comfortable in the summer. Just a thought.

Shoot It All

Today was a beautiful day. I went out back to take some photos of whatever I could find. If you ever think there is nothing to photograph, you are wrong. Anywhere and everywhere there is something that is just screaming to be shot.

An amazing photo does not matter what kind of camera you have, or how many mega pixels you've got...it's solely dependant on the creativity in your eye.

Whale Tails

South Burlington, Vermont
Whale Tails

"REVERENCE"

The name of the whale tails sculpture is "Reverence" and is meant to symbolize the fragility of the planet. It was commissioned in 1988 by a wealthy British metals trader named David Threlkeld, who lived in Randolph at the time. Jim Sardonis sculpted each of the two 13-foot high tails from six tons of black granite.

The Whale Tails can be found just off of exit 12, Interstate 89 Northbound.

Breakwaters Northern Lighthouse

Lake Champlain

Portland Head Light

Portland Head Light
Cape Elizabeth, Maine

I took this picture when I was vacationing in Maine. While there, I did some research, and tracked down several different lighthouse locations. This was one of my favorites.

If you look real closely, you can see there is a second lighthouse in the background (in the ocean). I've been trying to find information on it but could not.
I'd love to live on the ocean one day.

Mark and Nicole

Hello,

I have been away for while. So very, many things have happened in the past few months...and now, things are just starting to settle down. I just got done with the touch ups of Mark and Nicole's wedding, and I feel all went well. Here are a few photos from it. The "future/official" Akoni Image Studios website will have alot more images from the wedding on it.

Currently in the middle of building a website for AI Studios, and just aquired a nice bundle of software that included Adobe Flash CS3 Professional. In other words (crossing my fingers), it should be a very nice site. I will keep you all posted as to when I launch the site, and it's progress.

I'll talk to you soon.
